JCB has confirmed that the Teleskid, Hydradig 110W tool carrier, 3CX Compact backhoe loader and 48Z-1 compact excavator, will be on display at the 2017 International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) in Louisville, Kentucky, from October 3-5. The company will also demonstrate its 509-45 Loadall telescopic handler with a radio remote-control work platform and preview its new 503-13 Loadall sub-compact telehandler, which will be launched in 2018.

With the breakthrough of the last two tunnel boring machines into the target pit in Oberhausen-Biefang on June 12, 2017 the tunnel and pipe jacking work for the Emscher sewer has been completed. Over a period of 25 years numerous Herrenknecht tunnelling machines and a wide range of additional equipment were successfully used in the Europe-wide unique environmental and sewage project of Emschergenossenschaft.
In the early 1900s, the New Milford Power Company successfully completed the first commercially viable hydroelectric power plant on the Housatonic River in Connecticut. The project, Bulls Bridge Development, broke ground in spring 1902 and was in operation by 1903. Bulls Bridge was named after the Bull family that had lived in the area for generations.

A special event was held to celebrate the completion of trackwork in the new Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) tunnels and stations where a total of 17.4 kilometres of track and four sections of special track have been installed. Subsite Electronics is helping put a focus on safety in underground utility jobsites with its support for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) Utility Awareness Campaign. The AEM campaign aims to promote safety best practices and debunk common myths associated with underground utility installations.
The seven-day show attracted around 580,000 visitors from 200 countries to Munich between April 11 and 17. That’s a rise of more than nine percent. After Germany, the top 10 countries of origin among the visitors were Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, the Netherlands, UK, Sweden, the Russian Federation, Poland and the Czech Republic. A total of 3,423 exhibitors – 1,263 from Germany and 2,160 from abroad – from 58 countries presented their products, developments and innovations on a record 605,000 square metres of exhibition space. Exhibitors from outside Germany accounted for 63 percent of the total – higher than ever before.
