MB Crusher showcases new cutter head at Intermat
It is easy to use and makes work on different sites easy, especially for applications that require precision. The new MB-R500 grinds particularly resistant and tough materials, such as fragmented rocks. But it can also work on soft materials, such as asphalt, and perform the excavation with extreme precision.
It digs the trenches necessary for pipes laying, it restores the banks of rivers and streams with speed and precision. This attachment simplifies excavation operations for the positioning of buildings' support plinths, especially in areas where the subsoil is particularly resistant.
It works without difficulty in city centres, where vibrations and noises must be contained. It can be used under water and for roadworks. The MB-R500 cutter head makes it possible to perform excavations within a minimum size and recover material for re-use.
The new MB-R500 is the smallest cutter head of MB Crusher range. It weighs only 300 kg and can be installed on mini and midi excavators from 3 to 12 tons, on skid-steer loaders and backhoe loaders from 3 to 8 tons.
The powerful cutter head has a diameter of 500 mm and grinds with extreme precision. Its drum can be replaced on site in less than an hour, without the need to take the unit to a specialized workshop. Like the other MB-R cutter models, it comes with a full or low set drum head kit, which allows for changing the number of peaks depending on the material to grind.
The cutter body rotation kit allows the operator to rotate the cutter directly from the cab without stopping the trench excavation work.
The cutting depth adjustment kit makes grinding edges and levelling possible.
The drum cover kit reduces dust and allows the cutter to carry out jobs in enclosed spaces: working in tunnels becomes straightforward.
The MB-R500 can be equipped with a temperature reduction kit, which reduces the oil temperature during operation without altering the unit performance.
