The McElroy TracStar® Series 2 machines are ideal for fusing long polyethylene pipelines installed with slip-lining, pipe bursting and directional drilling technologies. They are easy to maneuver on the jobsite, having everything needed on board including a generator to provide electricity and hydraulic power. The TracStars are self-propelled on a rugged, dual track system which offers greater freedom of movement even across rugged terrain. Each machine’s diesel engine has the fuel tank and operational capacity to perform a full day’s work bringing fuel efficiency to the jobsite. The TracStars are offered in a wide range of pipe sizes from 2” IPS to 48” OD pipe.
Versatility and power are the key components of McElroy’s new fusion machine, the MegaMc 1648 Series 2. The fusion carriage is mounted on a rugged wheeled chassis and is removable for in-ditch or close quarters work. The carriage can convert from 4 to 3 jaws as needed and interchanges easily with its tracked counterpart to create a self-propelled, all-terrain, track-mounted fusion machine.
McElroy has launched the MegaMc 1648 Series 2 which butt fuses pipe sizes from 16" OD to 48" OD (450mm to 1200mm). It features the same fusion carriage as its tracked counterpart and incorporates many improvements including a removable 3- or 4-jaw fusion carriage for in-ditch work. An electric-powered hydraulic system gives the Series 2 twice the amount of force capability to assist in all fusion functions, including the complete operation of the jaws, pipe lifts, heater and facer.
McElroy has released the SmartFab 125, its first benchtop machine which offers a smarter way to socket fuse pipe and fittings for polypropylene piping systems. The machine is portable and can be positioned on any flat surface for precise prefabrication on large assemblies.
