With more than 620,000 visitors from over 200 countries, bauma 2019, the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment, generated the best results in the exhibition's 65-year history. The number of visitors rose by about 40,000 over the total produced during the previous event in 2016. More than 250,000 visitors came from countries outside Germany. The top 10 visitor countries after Germany were: Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Poland and Great Britain. The trade fair also experienced a strong increase in attendance from overseas visitors. Significant gains in this group were produced by China, Australia and Japan. More than 5,500 visitors came from China alone. The number of exhibitors totaled about 3,700 from 63 countries - likewise a record.
The seven-day show attracted around 580,000 visitors from 200 countries to Munich between April 11 and 17. That’s a rise of more than nine percent. After Germany, the top 10 countries of origin among the visitors were Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, the Netherlands, UK, Sweden, the Russian Federation, Poland and the Czech Republic. A total of 3,423 exhibitors – 1,263 from Germany and 2,160 from abroad – from 58 countries presented their products, developments and innovations on a record 605,000 square metres of exhibition space. Exhibitors from outside Germany accounted for 63 percent of the total – higher than ever before.
Ditch Witch to showcase latest underground construction equipment and training services at Bauma 2016
Ditch Witch will be showcasing innovative equipment designed to help global, underground construction operators be more productive and confident on the job at the 2016 Bauma event. Customer-driven equipment will be on display in Ditch Witch Booth B3-412 at the international trade fair centre in Munich, April 11 to 17.
