Atlas Copco is expanding its DrillAir range with a new compressor designed to meet the demands of the geothermal drilling industry. The DrillAirX28 provides improved versatility and drilling speed in addition to a new engine, enabling users to drill two 200 metre holes in a single day at 30 bar of pressure.
Atlas Copco launched its XAS 90 air compressor, which is a cost-effective option for utility and pneumatic-tool applications demanding as much as 88 cubic feet per minute of air power. The compressor, like all Atlas Copco portable air compressors, keeps cost of ownership low due to its simple maintenance and minimal fuel consumption.
The new Atlas Copco XAS 185 portable compressor gives contractors a reliable source of compressed air for a variety of jobs, including operating pneumatic tools and sandblasting. It allows contractors to finance new and used Atlas Copco equipment, such as breakers, compressors and generators, as well as other manufacturers’ equipment their dealers carry, such as skid steers and track loaders. The program also finances freight, maintenance and service packages.
Atlas Copco announced it will launch a new mobile rig for boring “opening holes” – raiseboring, boxhole boring and downreaming. Named “Easer,” the rig can boxhole bore and downream to 750 millimetres (29 inches) in diameter, as well as perform conventional raiseboring to 1,200 millimetres (47 inches) in diameter.

Atlas Copco has introduced a new small range of WEDA pumps to provide fast and efficient dewatering. In addition to the original nine pumps, the WEDA04 and WEDA08 provide drainage pumping, with the WEDA08S for sludge pumping and the WEDA04B for low suction pumping.
